My Story
I am a registered nurse, certified breastfeeding specialist, childbirth educator and CPR instructor. I am particularly passionate about cesarean birth, postpartum and parenthood! I love supporting expecting parents as they embark on their parenthood journey. This passion of mine was amplified after the cesarean birth of my two children. I have been in many areas of nursing: private home care for seniors, neurology, cardiology, clinical education and, my favourite, postpartum 🥰. Aside from nursing, I have been instructing first aid and CPR courses for MANY years and before completing my degree I was a nanny for children aged 3 months to 6 years. Currently, I instruct prenatal classes, offer cesarean birth support, provide in-home lactation support, facilitate infant/child choking classes and CPR for health care professional classes - all while raising my littles and playing with my pups!

It's funny I have found myself in this position. If you had asked 16 year old Jessica what she wanted to be when she grew up, she would have said "I am stuck between a teacher and a nurse." Well, here I am! It is extremely important to me to make education fun, the content relatable and help participants understand the theory behind the actions we recommend, but also, realistically what can occur. All of my courses involve real life scenarios to apply your new skills or knowledge to.

I was born in Calgary and raised in Strathmore. Strathmore is truly my home and I am so excited to be a part of providing this town and surrounding areas with much needed pre and postnatal support and education. My partner, Owen, was also born and raised here and we love the nostalgia of raising our two kids, Zoe and Dezi, where we grew up.
