Service Description

In this 2 hour workshop you will learn the essential skills of caring for a choking emergency and providing CPR to an infant and child. This is intended for any caregivers looking after children aged 0 to puberty! This is NOT just for parents. It is a great course for all caregivers - babysitters, aunties/uncles, grandparents, etc. There will be plenty of opportunity to practice these skills on mannequins. Each participant will receive a workshop handbook to outline the essential points from the class. They will also gain confidence with preventing and treating a choking or CPR related emergency. This class is facilitated by Heart and Stroke Basic Life Support Certified Instructor Jessica Conti who is a registered nurse with experience in nursing education, postpartum and cardiology acute care.
